Disney animator Heidi Gilbert recently put together this original animatic based on the Wicked musical in an attempt to see about having it done as an animated movie.

So. Freaking. Good.

this is glorious. omg. i still want a live-action movie but if disney handled this with care an animated movie could actually be done really well.

Omg I would actually die.  This brought tears to my eyes.

This musical could easily be done as a Disney movie.  The music was written and composed by Stephen Schwartz, so they wouldn’t have to change anything.  It’s very family-friendly already, and it’s PERFECTTTTT.

I just hope that if they did this, they’d keep EVERYTHING the same as it is in the show.  I would’ve loved to have seen the part where Elphaba is like, “She had nothing to do with it!  I’m the one you want, it’s me!  It’s meeee!”

I also would totally audition for the part of Elphie, unless they wanted to use the OBC which would be totally cool by me.

I’d totally watch it. I’ve never seen Wicked, but I like the soundtrack!
